Mama Caroline Manzo would be so proud

This cartoon was published the other day and I am sure that many people didn't get it at first because they don't know who Chris Manzo and Albie Manzo are. The Manzos are part of the cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, one of Bravo TV's reality shows. I do a lot of reality show cartoons and assume that since the genre is so popular these days, that the majority of the readers get the jokes.

I often feel that if people don't understand the cartoon, that that is not a bad thing, I mean if enough people understand it, then it's a good thing, but if a bunch don't that's ok. It's an inside joke for those who do understand it.

I had some people mention that they had to look up the Manzos on Google and after doing that, the joke made sense to them. The blk water is a brand that they are pushing these days, going from location to location, handing out samples.

I was pleased that everyone who contacted me did get that the monster was the Creature from the Black Lagoon, or "blk lagoon" in this instance.
