No limits to the size of webcomics

There was a part in Stripped where they talked about digital comics and how they are very much like the original comic strips in that the size is back up where it started. Today the drawing in newspapers and even comic books is so small, but on the computer, the webcomics can be as large as you want them to be. Some go on and on, they just keep going on until the story is told. There are no limits like in the newspapers.

I love this one from Hark, A Vagrant, by Kate Beaton. It needs to be large and go as long as it does, in a Sunday newspaper comic it would be a small portion of the size. Questionable Content shows that this one can keep going. Looks just like an old-fashioned full page Sunday spread. And this full color Sheldon is great as a full story, not cut short by constraints.

I've been drawing to conform to newspaper comics, but I need to get out of that box. Literally. It sort of reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Elaine liked the muffin tops, it's where the dough rises and does it's own thing. That's sort of webcomics. There are no limits.
