Being in the right place at the right time

Years ago, when I started the Coconut Grove Grapevine, I would walk into local businesses and people would just happen to be reading the Grapevine at that moment. I used to get a kick out of that. I would enter a coffee shop for instance and the owner behind the counter would say, "Oh, Tom, I'm reading you right now!"

Well I had these cube pads printed for Tomversation and I gave out a bunch all over town. The other day I walked into the gym and the girl at the front counter said, "Oh, hi Tom, I'm just writing my boss a note on one of your pads," and she held up the Tomversation comic strip cube. 

My friend jak (spelled like that) used to say that if things like that happen you're in the right place at the right time. For instance if you're reading the paper and you hear the same word you're reading at the same time on the tv or radio, well, that's being in the right place at the right time.

I want to figure out a way to give out the cube pads to my fans but I tried mailing them and they are $15 per cube for postage! I may have them handed out at a local gallery during gallery walk night or something like that.
