Cathy and I are rooting for newspapers

Kathy Guisewite
in "Stripped."
I'm really enjoying the Stripped film. I purchased the separate interviews which are all about an hour or so of each cartoonist being interviewed and it's fascinating. It's amazing how young Mort Walker was when he started and he knew so many of the old famous cartoonists like Rube Goldberg and Milt Caniff and of course Charles Schulz. Cathy Guisewite from Cathy fame also was friends with Schulz, she called him Sparky, you know someone is a buddy with Schultz when they call him Sparky.

Mort is still going at it daily at age 90, he's always been so prolific.

My fantasy world is the same as Cathy Guisewite's -- that newspapers will come back in a big way. That people will want something tangeable in their hands.

She feels it is now a multi-step project  to read comics electronically. I don't mind that part, but the thought of people reading newspapers again and wanting to read the comics daily in the paper is really something that would be so great if it was to happen.
