Making the comics unobtrusive
On the internet the comics have to be sought out. People aren't just flipping through and coming upon them, but then again, maybe they are - through social media. If comics are posted on Facebook, Instragram or Twitter, there is a great chance that the people who follow your accounts will see it and of course if the comic is retweeted or shared, it will of course multiply the audience. But it's not being shoved in anyone's face and you aren't begging people to click on your link to see your work. It's right there. Invited onto the page by the social media user.
I like the social media aspect as they are not intrusive. For instance, as you are reading your Facebook timeline, the comics will just come up along with posts from your friends and other pages you follow.
I follow a lot of news organizations, I don't know why, I just started following them from various cities (I wrote about it here in the Huffington Post). I read the LA Times posts and The Atlantic and Gothamist and The Denver Post and the Palm Beach Post and I read a lot of local tv news posts from Channel 8 in Nebraska and Channel 3 in Philadelphia and among those news posts and stories, I see comics that people post. It's very unobtrusive.
